Rebecca Lenkiewicz is best known as the author of Her Naked Skin (2008), which was the first play by a living female playwright to be performed on the Olivier stage of the Royal National Theatre.

Rebecca’s other plays include: The Night Season, Soho, The Painter, Shoreditch Madonna, That Almost Unnameable Lust, The Typist, Blue Moon Over Poplar, Wisconsin, and Stars Over Kabul.

Other work include plays for radio and television and several film scripts. In 2004, she received the Critics Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright and she has twice been a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Award. In 2011, she received a Special Recommendation for the Tinniswood Radio Award. She is currently a Patron of Asylum Aid.

Rebecca received an honorary Doctor of Arts from the University in 2012.
